Our Story
La Pantry de Knowlton is the story of Leila and Benoît, a couple, dedicated to share their passion and to contribute to the revitalization of their region. This project has been years in the works and led them to open this gourmet grocery store, to share their love for flavors and to encourage regional producers.
Experts in their own fields with over 20 years of experience each, Leila & Benoit are locals and live in the beautiful village of Knowlton. They decided to fully invest themselves in the community, give back by actively participating in the economic and tourist development of the region.
Leila comes from the high-end hospitality and restaurant industry. Holding positions in sales marketing, executive management and operations roles, she then had her own consulting business to help restructure restaurants with their owners and set operations standards in luxury hotels departments. Some of the
establishments she worked at are the Café Holt Montréal, Ritz-Carlton Montréal and the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.

Production designer/artistic director Benoît has built his career for over 20 years mainly in the television advertising industry. He also worked on television series and short and long features. Extremely creative and enthusiastic about travels, he easily conceptualized La Pantry de Knowlton. Leila and Benoît are passionate and engaged to connect with their community.

Why la Pantry?
Word playing with the French and English version of paneterie: french word which designates a place where bread is distributed in large houses.
Becoming "pantry", it designates either a large counter or is a place where food is stored.
Our space, our values and our commitment
We use mostly recycled and transformed materials to make our grocery store an Eco-responsible space while retaining the countryside charm of the historic building La Pantry de Knowlton is located in.
We have a partnership with Popote roulante de Knowlton through food donations. Making a difference and helping others are integral to our own personal values and la Popote roulante is directly linked to our life’s principles.
